I'm a long time activist in the Chicago cultural and community development arenas. I call myself a "creativity champion" because I believe creativity is a national value and should be a national priority that triggers civic engagement and guides public policy. I also believe that artists and other creative practitioners have values, skills and experience that we need in public life.
